Dr. Javier Omar De La Garza
Dr. De La Garza was born and reared in the Rio Grande Valley. One thing he is most proud of, after making beautiful smiles, is graduating with the Mighty Donna Redskins Class of 1995. He was selected by Marquette Dental School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after only attending UT-RGV for three years. A very rare and prestigious accomplishment. He graduated dental school in 2003.
He returned to the Valley where he has been practicing for over 20 years. Dr. De La Garza and his staff attend continuing education every year and stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry. He is well regarded by his colleagues and works with multiple specialists to provide excellence for his patients. His office has been voted Best Dental Clinic by the community year after year.
He married his college sweetheart Vicky Padilla (Weslaco Panther Class of 1994) in 1999. They have two children Ben and Gaby, both are studying at the University of Texas in Austin. In his spare time Dr. De La Garza enjoys following all things UT Austin! He tries to attend every home game. He is an active member at Calvary Church in McAllen. In his 20 years back in the Valley he has served countless roles in different community organizations and boards, including Scout Master in Boy Scouts of America Troop 2022, Presidential Volunteer Service Award Certifying Organization under President Trump and President Biden, and most recently appointed by the City of McAllen to an advisory role.
Dr. Rachel Favela
Dr. Rachel Favela grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico until the age of 9. Later moving to McAllen in 2004 and graduating from McAllen High School in 2013. Dr. Favela received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health and Science Center School of Dentistry in Houston.
When shes not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling , and taking her dog Lucas for walks.

Dr. Sergio Solis
Dr. Sergio Solis was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. He graduated from McAllen Memorial High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Dr. Solis went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. During dental school, he was honored to become a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the oldest national dental honor society in the United States. Membership in OKU recognizes a tradition of academic achievement, professional excellence, and dedication to the field of dentistry.
As a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley and a bilingual dentist, Dr. Solis is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality dental care and connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Solis enjoys staying active through sports, spending time outdoors fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.

Dr. Jocelyn Gonzalez
Dr. Jocelyn Gonzalez was born in Weslaco, Texas and raised in Mercedes, Texas where she graduated from Mercedes High School in 2016. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University – Kingsville and pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Texas A&M University – School of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Following graduation, she returned to South Texas to contribute to her community.
In her free time, she enjoys quality time with family, discovering new coffee spots, and walks with her feisty dog, Romeo. Additionally, she finds joy in capturing nature through macro-photography and will find herself binge-watching shows like “Friends”.
Dr. Gonzalez is dedicated to offering the latest knowledge through continued education courses, workshops, and self-study. Her goal is to provide comprehensive care while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience to transform smiles and improve oral health.
